Y10 cleaner, Y-10 Fibreglass Stain Remover
The world renowned Y10 Fibreglass Stain Remover is easy to apply, no rubbing and non-abrasive. Y-10 rapidly "absorbs" yellow/brown waterline and transom stains on white or light-coloured fibreglass sailboats and powerboats.
The well respected magazine "Practical Boat Owner" tested 10 different fibreglass cleaners and had this to say: "Y10, which comes in a small tub, contains oxalic acid in a gel form. It is brushed on over the stain, left on for 10 minutes and then washed off. It was easy to apply, and the moderately thick blue gel could be spread quite thinly, helping the pot to go further. Once rinsed off it was the most consistent performer on test, with all staining on the panel removed to an even white in the 10 minutes it had been left on." Its verdict was that "There were a few products which gave ‘top tier’ performance", and Y10 was mentioned in that group at the top of the test results.
Application: To use, brush a thin coating of Y-10 over the stain, wait approximately 10 minutes while a mild chemical reaction causes the stains to vanish, then wash it off. The gel spreads easily and adheres to vertical and overhead surfaces. Y10 is also effective against rust stains around engine exhaust ports or other fittings and may be used on painted boats. Use in temperatures above 10 Celsius.
Please note, gelcoat will not be damaged when applying Y10. However, avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Size: 280g...that will be enough for most cruisers.
